Right of cancellation

A consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for a purpose which can for the most part neither be attributed to their commercial nor their independent professional activity.
Right of cancellation

You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without having to give reasons. The cancellation period is fourteen days from the date on which you or a third party designated by you, other than the carrier, took possession of the goods. of your decision to cancel this contract in a clear and unambiguous statement (e.g. a letter, fax or e-mail). You can use the attached sample cancellation form, although this is not mandatory. It is sufficient for you to send notice of the exercise of your right of cancellation before the expiry of the cancellation period to ensure compliance with this period.

Consequences of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we shall refund all payments we have received from you, including delivery charges (other than the additional charges arising from you choosing a method of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the date on which we received notice of your cancellation of this contract. We will use the same means of payment that you used in the original transaction for such refunds, unless otherwise explicitly agreed with you; under no circumstances will you be charged for such refunds. We may refuse any refund until we have received the goods back or until you have furnished proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier. You must send back or hand over the goods to us without delay or in any case at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the cancellation of this contract. We shall deem this period to have been observed if you dispatch the goods before the expiry of the fourteen day period.
You shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
You shall only be liable for any loss in value of the goods if such a loss in value is attributable to handling them in a way which is not necessary to examine their nature, properties and functionality.

Exclusion or premature expiration of the right of cancellation

The right of cancellation does not apply to contracts:

for the supply of goods that are not ready-made and the manufacture of which is determined by an individual identification or selection made by the consumer or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer;
for the delivery of goods that can perish quickly or whose expiration date would be quickly exceeded;
for the supply of alcoholic beverages, the price of which was agreed when the contract was concluded, but which can only be supplied 30 days after the conclusion of the contract at the earliest and the current value of which depends on fluctuations on the market over which the trader has no influence;
for the delivery of newspapers, magazines or periodicals with the exception of subscription contracts.
The right of cancellation shall expire prematurely in the case of contracts
for the delivery of sealed goods which, for health or hygiene reasons, are unsuitable for return if their seal has been removed following delivery;
for the delivery of goods if these have been inseparably mixed with other goods following delivery due to their properties;
for the delivery of sound or video recordings or computer software in a sealed package if the seal has been removed following delivery.
