Kumiko Koga

In the summer of 2021, I first discovered Gleichweit mouthpieces. At the time, I was struggling with intonation issues and an overly harsh sound in the upper register with my previous mouthpieces.

Since then, I’ve tried various models and now play the BW 9-6 (Transparent Edition) as well as the B 9-6 with a special name designation “Kumiko.”

When I first tried the Transparent Edition, I was deeply impressed and genuinely fascinated. The sound was characterized by a beautiful, warm Viennese tone with a soft and richly colored character.

Gleichweit mouthpieces offer not only stable intonation, clean tone quality, and precise response – they also impress with their gentle and smooth sound.

Day after day, I continue to be inspired by them.
