The Gleichweit Barrels Model K1 were developed specifically for Kronthaler clarinets in the Viennese system, precisely matched to their bore geometry. The barrel is — second only to the mouthpiece — one of the most important tone-shaping elements of a clarinet. Crafted from premium ebonite without metal rings, these barrels allow the instrument to fully develop its natural resonance — delivering stable intonation, a focused, warm tone, and a well-balanced response. Extensively tested in concert halls, rehearsals, studio recordings, and on stage.
