Premium Hard Rubber (Ebonite) BE

  • A traditional material used in mouthpiece making for over a century

  • Can oxidise or develop a greenish patina if not cleaned regularly
  • Preferred by many classical and orchestral clarinettists for its tonal depth
  • Feels more alive and resonant

Test programme

Our mouthpiece/barrel trial programme allows customers to test our mouthpieces and barrels for a period of 10 days to find the best fit. The process is as follows:

  • Select the mouthpieces or barrels for the trial (up to 3 mouthpieces with the same opening or 3 barrels of the same model are permitted).
  • Test the mouthpieces/barrels for 10 days (the first day of the trial period begins on the day of delivery to your address).
  • Return the mouthpieces/barrels you do not wish to keep and retain those that best suit your needs.

If none of the selected mouthpieces/barrels meet your requirements, you can return all of them within the 10-day trial period.

Customers bear the cost of return shipping. To avoid damage during transit, please ensure the mouthpieces are securely packed in their original packaging.

We recommend shipping with UPS, however you may also use other postal or courier services.

Please send the products to the following address:

Gleichweit GmbH, Tolstojgasse 5/7, 1130 Wien, Austria.

Please make sure your name is noted on the package, as otherwise we will not be able to identify the sender.
