I came across Gleichweit’s mouthpieces via my friend Ferdinand Steiner: after some discussions with Johannes I tried the BW 8, it was a immediate fit for me. Vandoren no 3 Traditional and Daddario Evolution no 3.5 works perfectly on this mouthpiece. The sound is very warm and flexible, which is very important for blending with different instruments in chamber and orchestra settings. Intonation is very stable and I could create a variety of different kind of articulations effortlessly. I don’t feel the need to force the air at all, the mouthpiece feels very natural and easy to play. I highly recommend this product!
