That’s why the Gleichweit ebonite barrels were developed with great care by two professional clarinetists: Johannes Gleichweit (Vienna clarinet) and Emir Radisevic (Boehm clarinet). Their goal was to create a barrel that delivers the highest standards of acoustic performance and playing comfort.

These barrels are specifically tailored to Vienna system clarinets, particularly those made by F. Hammerschmidt and Otmar Hammerschmidt. They offer a warm, centered tone, easy response, and excellent projection. The ringless design enhances the instrument’s natural resonance and allows for a more organic, open sound.
