Background & Inspiration
At the end of 2022, during our European tour, we met the exceptional Belgian clarinetist Stephan Vermeersch at a clarinet event in Poland. His unique approach to the bass clarinet – the impressive ease with which he produces a warm, expressive, yet powerful sound – inspired us to develop this mouthpiece. After close collaboration and extensive tonal refinement, the Stephan model was born, tailored to the tonal needs of contemporary bass clarinetists.
Recommended Reeds
The Stephan pairs exceptionally well with French-style bass clarinet reeds – both cane and synthetic options work beautifully.
