The Gleichweit-B11-7 is a popular choice among clarinetists who prefer a more open mouthpiece in combination with Légère synthetic reeds. With a facing length of 28 mm and a tip opening of 1.33 mm, we recommend synthetic reeds in strengths 3.25 to 3.75 for this model. This is, however, highly individual and depends strongly on the player – the optimal strength may vary from clarinetist to clarinetist.
