Description
Developed primarily for Hammerschmidt clarinets — a popular companion for Viennese & German clarinets from other makers.
The Gleichweit Barrels for Hammerschmidt Clarinets were developed specifically for instruments by F. Hammerschmidt and Otmar Hammerschmidt, precisely matched to their bore geometry. The barrel is — second only to the mouthpiece — one of the most decisive components of a clarinet when it comes to tone shaping, response, and intonation. Crafted from premium ebonite without metal rings, these barrels allow the instrument to develop its natural resonance fully — for a warm, centred tone, easy response, and excellent projection. Over time, they have also become a popular choice among players of other Viennese and German clarinets — tested and proven in concert halls, rehearsals, studio recordings, and on stage.
