General overhauls:

During a general overhaul of a clarinet, the instrument is thoroughly cleaned, repaired and readjusted to bring it to its optimum condition. The clarinet is taken apart completely, including the keys, springs and pads. All parts are carefully cleaned to remove dirt and grease. Damaged or worn parts such as pads, springs, corks or adjusting screws are replaced. Mechanical parts are re-silvered or gold-plated if necessary( with extra charge). The keys of the clarinet are carefully assembled and adjusted to ensure optimum playability. Finally, the instrument is played and, after consultation, intonation optimizations are carried out. A general overhaul helps to restore the clarinet to excellent playing condition, with good sound quality, precise intonation and smooth mechanics.
