The Gleichweit Barrel K2 is the second model in the Kronthaler range, offering a deliberately different tonal character to the K1: while the K1 focuses on precision, clarity, and direct projection, the K2 is defined by a warmer, more open, and rounder tone with greater depth and natural resonance. Both models were developed exclusively for Kronthaler clarinets in the Viennese system. The ringless ebonite design allows the instrument to develop its full tonal potential in every musical setting.
